In the past I would have little pieces of paper with notes and ideas and all sorts of mixed and sometimes scrambled thoughts. I would often use grab one of the children’s textas and draw with whatever colour worked.
I would embark upon yet another attempt to ‘get my act together’ with the desire to do it all in one day. I’d have a moment of inspiration or guilt and would get out a whole bunch of papers and then when 4pm came I would pack it away in the bookcase and usually….I’d forget about those papers.
On another day when looking through the bookcase I would almost always think “what are these papers for?”
So, you see? THAT is how quickly a poorly executed ‘plan’ can come undone.
So recently and I genuinely can’t remember what prompted this I started making small, incremental changes and thought that instead of just typing notes to myself I could put some information on my website that may help another person.
It would also be nice to be encouraged by someone else.
So initially, off the top of my head some goals that I had (have) were (in no particular order).
Get up early
Lose weight
Limit screen time
Read the Bible (typing this reminded me that I haven’t done this yet) BRB. *That was actually a perfect (but intentional) example of how things can be forgotten or over looked without a old plan.
I think it is 90% a good plan and 10% action
The 10% is 100% of the 10%. No excuses
I will be writing more and more about this but for now want to say that time blocking, knowing your WHY for everything and a very detailed plan are essential for having longevity in any new way of life you would like to live.
